Politics is not the content of the stream at all, but politics is in everything and all of us enjoy taking the occasional pot-shot at the physical appearance of certain world leaders so I just wanted to be clear it's not entirely a-political. I would just like to say, it is an 18+ stream, there is occasional cursing (I'm probably the most fowl mouthed of the group and I don't think I'm that bad about it) and just as a heads up and/or trigger warning: there is also occasionally some political opinions thrown about (we're mostly a little left leaning). In that one I have a tough fight against the Prussians who are not impressed with my flanking maneuver and are quick to take advantage of my lack of cavalry support. If you're browsing the past VODs I might suggest the one from March 17 (but you might want to skip ahead to the second battle around 1:40:00, as the first bit of that one is the second half of a battle from before). Sometimes we make contact quite quickly, sometimes not so quickly. Depending on the scenario there will be some time spent marching on the road. After that, barring technical difficulties, the battle begins.

The first 30 minutes or so is us collecting all the people playing that day and organizing our marching orders for the start of the game. The whole ordeal is usually around 4 hours long. If RTSes aren't your thing but you enjoy a good clash of bayonets on a smokey battlefield I have recently begun streaming our encounters. You can find us and the mod, as well as many other friendly historical wargaming fans at. We play various scenarios created by ourselves which lends a very tabletop feel to the experience. Naturally we play with the setting in the game that requires couriers to be sent from the commander to every single unit that is to be ordered to do anything, thus to succeed one must understand the physical limitations of issuing orders to units. Part of that experience is what we call Headquarters in the Saddle (or HITS) which means we play the game from the perspective of our commanders instead of the traditional 'helicopter' view that RTSes typically use.
